Every year holidays get more and more fun with Katie as she gets older and can do more. I found this cute little cookie decorating kit at target with pre-baked cookies and icing and sprinkles to decorate with.
Her favorite part was putting on the sprinkles...
...and eating the leftovers!
We dyed some Easter eggs...
Her "smock" so she didn't get dye all over her clothes. Ha!
At bedtime the night before Easter, we read one of Katie's children's Bibles that has a very brief resurrection story. At 2 years old it's hard to know how much of the story to share with her so we just talked about Easter being a time to celebrate that Jesus is alive and loves us very much. I love to see Katie learning about God and Jesus and her enthusiasm about Him. Her 2 favorite book are her 2 children's Bibles. She even sleeps with them! And this morning Andy called me on his way to church with Katie (I'm staying home with Hannah) to tell me they were talking about going to church and Katie started cheering "Go Jesus!" She's so sweet. I love it.
After a beautiful Easter service at our church, we came home and checked out our Easter baskets and had an egg hunt. Thank you Mimi, Pop, and Aunt Becky for watching Hannah so Andy, Katie, and I could go to church today!

The egg hunt
She got so excited when she found lots of eggs in the backyard. She wanted to grab them all at once. LOL
Sweet Sisters
Hannah slept in her car seat the whole time.
Sweet sleeping baby. I could watch her sleep all day. So peaceful.
Playing with her Easter egg chalk from the Easter bunny.
We had a fun day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and doing all the "commercial" stuff. I look forward to the years ahead when Katie can fully understand the significance of Easter.
