Fruit Loops, YUCK!

Katie eats LOTS of Cheerios. She eats them for breakfast and snacks so most days she has Cheerios at least once. I decided to try something different and gave her Fruit Loops. Who doesn't love Fruit Loops. They're the best! I went over to the sink to do some dishes while she was eating but when I looked back at her she had grabbed the cereal bag off the table, pulled it over to her highchair and was beginning to put the Fruit Loops back into the bag... one by one. Apparently she wasn't much of a Fruit Loops fan at first, but she has come to her senses since then. She likes them now.I made a 12 month plate for Katie's birthday and it didn't turn out the way I'd hoped. It was my least favorite of all her footprint plates I've made. My sister accidentally broke it when cleaning our house for us which actually turned out to be a good thing. It was only a month after her birthday so I was easily able to redo the plate. I also found this rectangle one so it matches the other square ones better than the oval platter I originally made. I think this one came out much better than the 1st one.

Caedmon and Bryson

About a month ago some good friends of ours had their 2nd baby boy, Bryson. The "big brother" is just about 6 weeks older than Katie. Bryson is precious and Caedmon and Katie were so cute to watch when they played together.

Fun Times at Home

I'm WAY behind on my blog posting. Katie and I both got the swine flu this month then Andy started getting sick too. Praise the Lord Andy's was just a nasty cough but never turned into more. Between being sick, playing "catch up" after missing a whole week of work, and trying to get out for some "fall fun" on the weekends that we have been healthy, we've been very busy here at the Knapp house.

Here are some pictures of Katie playing around the house with some of her new birthday toys.

Katie and BradyShe loves to climb in and out of her "Cozy Coop!""I'm getting sleepy...""... but I have to keep playing!"Decisions, Decisions (I think it's time to clean out her toybox!)This is her new fascination. She loves to open and close the washing maching and pull out the laundry in there. For her birthday, Katie got this great "snack trap" so she can eat her snack independently. She hasn't masatered it yet, but she's getting better at it. After we get home from school, I give her a sippy cup and a snack while I feed the dogs, get things ready for dinner, etc. One of the 1st days I did this I was really impressed with how quiet and content Katie was. I went in the living room to see her and this is what I found. Apparently I didn't put the lid all the way on her snack trap so she had just dumped the whole thing on the floor and was eating her goldfish off the floor. :)Finally worn out and taking a short katnap before dinner.
