Happy 6 Month Birthday!

Last Tuesday Katie turned 6 months old. I can't believe she's already half way to her 1st birthday! Yes, I gave her a present ina gift bag with tissue paper. I knew she would love the tissue paper. Here are some pictures from her 6 month birthday.

Tonight while I was feeding Katie she started licking the cereal off of her upper lip and was smacking her lips. It was so cute I had to get the camera out.

Fun with Mimi and Pop

We were busy today with Andy's parents. We spent about 5 hours shopping at the outlet mall and then had dinner at Babes Chicken. I love that place. Here are some pictures from the day and with her cute new sunglasses and hat. (I think her cheeks still got a little bit pink even with the hat and the "umbrella" up on her stroller all day.)

She's also started sticking her tongue out and spitting to make sounds. It's so cute but I can't seem to catch it on video.

New Discoveries

Here's a little clip of some of what Katie's been up to at 5 months. In the 1st part she's sitting in her Bumbo seat watching a sesame street DVD. It was about 30 minutes long and she watched so intently the whole time! The song playing in the beginning of the video is her favorite. I'm not sure why, but when that particular song plays, she usually smiles and coos more for that one.


Katie's been eating rice cereal for a month now and she's getting really good at eating with a spoon. She loves the cereal and opens wide for each bite.


She's almost too big for her sling tub she's been using too so I got her a new tub this week. Her new one doesn't have the mesh sling so she soaks in a little bit of water. She has discovered that she can kick and splash in the water. It's adorable.
