On our way back we stopped at the outlet mall in Castle Rock, Co and bought some new shoes for Katie. It's a little late now, but I didn't know they make shoes specifically for crawlers. The workers at the Stride Rite outlet showed us the crawler shoes and walker shoes. We went ahead and got 1 pair of each. And they measured Katie's foot too. I know that's so simple but it was her 1st time to get her foot measured in a shoe store and just a moment when I realized she's not my swaddled little baby anymore.
Katie saw another little girl about her age at McDonalds on our drive home and was totally fascinated with her. It was so cute. They were staring at each other across McDonalds and waved to each other when we left. So cute! The other little girl had the cutest little piggy tails sticking up on top of her head and I know Katie has enough hair for that so we tired to put Katie's hair in pony tails for lunch on Sunday and it was not easy. She's so active it was really hard to get the clips in. Andy's the one who finally got them in and I must say he did a great job! She looked so grown up with her hair pulled up and her new "big girl" shoes!
We went to lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Amarillo, Kabuki. Katie wasn't sure what to think of the fire when the chef made the onion volcano. They also make it rain in there every so often with thunder sounds and "rain" that falls around the seating area. Great atmosphere and we love the food too!
I love watching Andy with Katie. He's such a good daddy!
