We love to do some 4 wheel driving in the mountains and our favorite is near Salida and goes up to a beautiful lake, North Fork, at the summit of the mountain. I forget the exact elevation but it's 11,000+. This is the jeep trail we took with Katie. It's always really cold up there and there's usually snow up there too. This year there wasn't snow at the top, but it did snow on us a little bit on the drive up. Yes, you heard me... snow in July!
It was nice to see the family and I know Katie loved being held more than Monday. She helped Pop fish a little bit, played in her exersaucer, and loved being held by and playing with Aunt Becky and Mimi.
Since we were an hour and a half- 2 hour drive away from the condo, we decided to spend the night with the family in Salida.
It's hard to see in the picture, but they match. Mimi made this onesie for Katie that says "Here fishy, fishy!" It wasn't planned, but they wore matching shirts today.I'm glad we stayed there, but it was a really long night. Katie's sleep schedule was off all week because of the time change and us getting in late every night. On top of that, Katie never sleeps in the bed with us but we didn't bring her pack n play with us to Salida so she slept with me and Andy slept on the floor. (Not enough room for all 3 of us. We were in a camper.) I think we started at 10:00 trying to get Katie to sleep and she didn't finally fall asleep until 12:30! At one point she had me crying I was laughing so hard. She was all over the place trying to crawl around, stand up, and play. She kept standing and looking over the wall at Aunt Becky then she would put her head down on the top of the wall because she was so sleepy. But she was NOT going to sleep!
